A Tax Rate Election Is Approved By SAISD Board Of Trustees

During a meeting on Aug. 19, the San Angelo Independent School District Board of Trustees approved a call for a Tax Rate Election. Proposition A, also known as the Tax Rate Election, was approved in a 6-0 vote for the Nov. 5, 2024 ballot. It will ask voters to either approve or disapprove the approved tax rate of 81231 cents. SAISD says in a press release that the district tax rate will not increase for homeowners in SAISD. Funding will be focused on recruit and retention of staff and armed officers at every campus.
