Record numbers are turning out for early voting in Texas. Nearly 6,000 early votes had been cast in Tom Green County as of mid-afternoon Tuesday, according to elections officials. 3,300 residents cast a ballot on Monday in the county. Monday was the first day of early voting. Statewide, over a million voters cast ballots on Monday, the first day of early voting. That’s about five percent of the 18-point-six million registered voters in the state. Early voting ends on November 1st. Election Day is November 5th.
